Week 1, Feb. 2-8

We stayed in the hospital Thursday through Saturday while Michelle recovered and Lily was examined by the neonatologist.

Here's Lily sleeping in the post-partum room we stayed in at the hospital. Notice her left arm draped over her head! I sleep like that too.

Michelle's parents flew in on Friday to help us with the baby for two weeks. They were a big help, and allowed us to get some rest during the nights. This photo is right when they arrived.

Here's a photo of Michelle and I with Lily, and a close-up of the real star.

Both mother and baby were released from the hospital Saturday afternoon. Lily's first car ride had a very loud, screamy beginning (first picture), but soon the car motion lulled her to sleep (second picture).

Here's Lily at home, sleeping in her crib (first picture), in her bassinet (second picture), and sitting in her swing (third picture).

Grandma and Grandpa Blackwell spent lots of time taking care of Lily.

The Blackwells even cleaned our house while they were here! It's never been this clean!

Here's Michelle feeding Lily.

This pacifier has brought much peace and harmony to our house! She doesn't like any other ones.

We received lots of clothes as gifts from our families and friends. Lily's closet is quite full, and we should be set for a few months. Thanks, everyone!
