Week 11, Apr. 13-19

We hoped that the few times last week that Lily slept through the night would continue, but they didn't. D'ohh!! She's been waking up once or twice during the night again, usually around 1 a.m. and 4 a.m.

Lily, Cailey, and Madeline went out to Huey's for a lunch date together on Thursday (4/14).

Their moms came along as chaperones. Geez, these kids can't have any fun without their mothers tagging along.

Lily is getting better at holding her own bottle at feeding time, though she still doesn't do it all the time.

At day care, they had the infants make a footprint and handprint that are supposed to look like a flower. It's Lily's first little piece of art.

My parents bought this cool car-shaped bouncing toy with lots of noisy gizmos all over it. She'll probably have to be 4-6 months to play with it, but she already seemed pretty excited to stand inside it.

We also bought a jumping toy that you hang from a doorway and lets the baby bounce. However, the room we wanted it for has a door frame that's way too high! (That's Michelle's foot between the floor and Lily's dangling feet.) Putting a footstool under her seems to work.

Lily might be teething again, because she kept biting the side of the jumper.

It's not hard to get photos of me asleep with the baby, because this counts as "watching the baby", but is very easy! In the second photo, Lily's sleeping but has a grumpy expression. (Bad dream?)

Carrie (or Liz to her friends) had her second ultrasound, and this time the sonogram's a lot clearer. You can make out the baby's head, torso, and legs.
