Week 15, May 11-17

Lily has gotten really good at holding her head up when she's on her stomach. She couldn't do this a couple of weeks ago.

She rolled over again, and this time we got action shots! Well, okay, these are still photos, so we could be posing her and faking it. But just take my word for it, okay?

Our friend Madeline visited Medtronic and was babysat by Michelle, Melisa, Lila, and Ann.

This is Madeline's older brother Cameron. Lily might be checking him out in about sixteen years!

Here are some outfits she wore this week.

Let's stand on Mommy's shoulders! In that second picture, Lily looks like she's enjoying this a lot more than Mommy is!

I sleep with my hand and arm over my face, and we often see Lily doing it too! Maybe if we sequence my DNA and Lily's, and use Michelle's as a control, we could isolate the hand-over-face-sleeping gene. What a breakthrough that would be for medical science! (Maybe I'll hold off proposing that grant.)

We had some sleepless nights Sunday and Monday, as our resident "squigglepuss" woke up several times in the wee hours. Normally we swaddle her in a blanket and that helps her sleep longer, but now she wiggles out of it quickly. So here we wrapped her tightly in a blanket and then covered that with a Velcro swaddle! Take that, you little wiggler!

Lily's been very chatty the last few days. We have some Quicktime movies here of her yapping away. We were trying to get her to talk to take these movies, and the rest of the evening she was talking so much and so loud we couldn't hear TV over her! And a good show was on!!

We tried mixing rice cereal into her formula a few times this week. Sometimes she ate it, and other times she didn't. We were hoping this would make her sleep longer during the night, but so far no luck.

We moved her jumping toy to the computer room, where it reaches the floor like it's supposed to. She seemed to like it, and was using her legs to stop it from swinging and move around a little bit.

Here's a happy baby picture!
