Week 16, May 18-24
Lily had a cold this week! Poor thing. Her nose was so runny and clogged that she had
trouble drinking her milk because she could barely breathe through her nose. Pseudoephedrine
helped a lot, though ("Simply Stuffy" over-the-counter medicine).

Lily's learning to grab things with her hands in recent weeks, so we added
plastic links to her hanging toys so she can reach them. She was having lots
of fun grabbing them.

One day when I picked her up from day care, I was surprised to see her in
a walker, and she liked it. So we bought a walker for home.
She has always loved standing up (she sometimes cries if you don't let her stand),
and she enjoyed playing in this walker. She moved herself around a little bit with
her legs, mostly going backward. It also makes cool spaceship sounds.

We brought Lily into the computer room, where she got interested in
the screensavers.

Here are a couple of outfits she wore this week.

Lily gets upset when the sun is in her eyes, so we bought some infant sunglasses.
Now she looks like a rock star!

Look out MIT, here she comes!!

And after finishing graduate school at MIT, Lily will take over as CEO of Medtronic!

My parents sent us this Tigger toy a few months ago, and now Lily's
big enough to enjoy it.

Here are some toys Lily got from my parents (the octopus), my sister Carrie (the bear),
and my Aunt Eunice and Uncle Tom (the lamb, which is home-made).

Our beloved car Odie went to Car Heaven this week, after seven years and 101,000 miles.
Note the Simpsons floor mats, and the mix of Brandeis, MIT, and Harvard parking stickers
on the windows! He's been through a lot with us.
