Week 19, June 8-14

Lily had her first taste of blended-up carrots, and ate about twenty spoonfuls (this is a very shallow spoon). She liked these better than the green beans we tried the previous week. Even so, she'd had enough by picture 3 here, and the carrots started coming back out in picture 4.

Here's our young concert pianist composing a new piece called "Fists of Lily Pounding on Keys". (This isn't a new toy we bought; I've been storing this keyboard in attics for about 15 years for some reason.) She wasn't really that interested in it. However, in picture 3, the tag on the pillow looked pretty exciting!

We bought a new bathtub for Lily that lets her sit upright, but it turns out she's not ready for it yet. A few minutes after taking this photo, she started crying. Normally she likes bathtime.

Lily's hair was sweaty and sticking up Alfalfa-style, and Daddy's unshowered hair often looks like that too! I should really take a shower before putting my picture on the web!

I moved one of the bouncy chairs into the bathroom so Lily can sit and play while we're getting ready in the morning.

Here are two outfits from this week. Those darn clasps and straps are hard to get on her when she's wiggling around.

Here are some more outfits. The orange shirt and pants would have matched nicely except for the red socks! (We don't have any orange socks.) I like the red shirt and jeans outfit. At first we put her in long jeans, but they were too big on her, so we put her in jean shorts instead.

Michelle tried getting Lily to hold her bottle. She can still only do it briefly. I think she hasn't got much hand control yet -- she bats the bottle away sometimes when we're feeding her, and then cries that the bottle's not in her mouth anymore!
