Week 22, June 29 - July 5
To sleep, perchance to dream! Lily has been sleeping 7 to 9 hours
at night now that she can lay on her stomach. Finally!

I sat Lily in front of the piano keyboard again, and she played with it
for a long time. It was also a sneaky way of teaching her to sit up
by herself (third picture). Michelle later suggested raising it up so
her legs could fit under it, and that looks more comfortable for her
(fourth picture).

Here's a Quicktime movie of Lily playing piano. You can download
the movie directly here.

Naturally we felt compelled to dress Lily up in a goofy Fourth of July outfit!
See the glitter on that hat? Pieces of glitter remained on her head the rest of
the day. Even after we gave her a bath, I still found a piece of glitter on her!

This jumper is probably Lily's second-favorite toy (after her walker). She likes
grabbing everything she can get her hands on the last couple of weeks, and here she's
grabbing the small plastic toys attached to the jumper (first picture).

I like this outfit -- cute, but not overly girly.

To paraphrase Apu on the Simpsons, I celebrated my country's independence
by blowing up a small part of it.
