Week 25, July 20-26
The highlight of our week was going to Cameron's birthday party.
Lily, Madeline, and Cailey were all very well behaved and had a great time.
We took 428 pictures this week, mostly of the party!! But don't worry, I
just picked 28 of them for this week's web page.
Cameron's party has a water slide and a small kid's pool, so this is Lily's first
chance to wear the cute bathing suit Melisa and Belinda bought her. Here she is
modeling it. I should send these photos in for Sports Illustrated's annual swimsuit
issue!
All three girls showed up to the party in the same bathing suit! (All from Melisa and Belinda.)
Well, none of them seemed too upset about it. The girls aren't old enough to go on the water
slide, but they played in the kid's pool. Lily started to cry at first when I put
her feet in, but then liked the water, and was soon sitting and splashing in it.
Madeline wore some trendy sunglasses, and made a valiant effort at sitting up. (She's three
weeks younger than Lily.) She actually did a good job balancing in that position while keeping
her head held up.
Cailey was smiling and laughing a lot with her Mom and Dad (and pulling Mom's hair). Notice her little sprout-bow!
She's the only one so far that has enough hair for a sprout!
Lily played a lot with her friends, but still had time to sit with Mom and Dad. She must have been
having fun at the party, because she missed a nap and her normal feeding time, but didn't complain or
cry. I think the other girls also had disrupted schedules but were having fun.
Birthday boy Cameron looked like Rambo toting that squirt gun,
while Colin's Dad got him started down the water slide. After swimming,
the boys played Legos inside.
Cameron and Lily were making goo-goo eyes at each other, and exchanged some nose-kisses and
forehead-kisses. I was there chaperoning.
