Week 28, Aug. 10-16

This past weekend I had a lot of work to get done at home, so I took Lily into the study with me and she played on the floor while I worked. She didn't complain, and I got a lot done. She especially likes playing with that blank red CD.

Some of the toys we've bought Lily recently are only fun if you can stand up or crawl, which she can't do yet. So we bought her some more age-appropriate toys: a ball that sings the alphabet song when you roll it, and a fake CD player that you just press the big button on the front to play music. She seemed happy playing with them.

We also bought her a couple small books. Part of our motivation for buying this Huggy Buggy book was that she was chewing on it in the store! You eat it, you bought it.

It's time to start teaching Lily some family values -- namely, that the Simpsons rule!

Lily has shown a keen interest in grabbing the TV remote from us while we're using it. To placate her, we let her play with a DVD player remote that we haven't used in a long time. Mastering the TV remote is another important family value! Michelle is the rightful owner of the remote in our house.

Here are some outfits from this week. I think all three are part of the loot from a recent shopping spree by Michelle.

She hadn't played with her piano much for a few weeks, so I put her in front of it to see if she'd lost interest. Nope! It's still fun.
