Week 31, Aug. 31 - Sep. 6
Michelle's parents are here visiting and spoiling our
daughter rotten! Michelle and I are amateur spoilers by comparison.
While they were here, we spent one night away from home in a hotel,
after getting massages and going out to eat. That was our first break
in seven months!
Lily really latched onto Grandpa Blackwell (a.k.a. "Pop") this visit. She
smiled at him a lot, and kept looking at him as he walked around. He was
doing a lot of smiling in return!
She still loves her Lola too! Lola fed her, bathed her, changed her diapers,
wiped her nose, played with her -- it's been a very welcome break for Mommy
and Daddy.
Lily laughed watching Pop bounce a ball.
We got Lily a drum to play with, since she likes banging on every other
surface in the house anyway.
We also got her maracas, but she was fixated on shoving them in her mouth
(even both at once!).
Although we've been bathing Lily in the big bathroom tub,
Grandma wanted to use the kitchen sink. I think this scored big
with Lily. She sure looks like she's having fun.
She liked being dried off as much as the bath!
While feeding her, Lola gave Lily a spoon to feed herself. The results
were no sloppier than when we feed her.
