Week 33, Sep. 14-20
This week Lily started saying "Mama"! Unfortunately she started saying
it at 3:00 a.m. Sunday morning, after keeping us both up for a while,
which lessened our enthusiasm at the time. She's said Mama several more times,
but I haven't caught it on video yet.
Now that Lily's crawling, she's moved up to the next room at day care,
Infants 2. This could be a hard transition for her, because
she's very close to her teachers Cathy and Madonna from the first infant
room. This is Cathy with Lily on her last day in Infants 1.
Here's a new outfit she wore on Monday, that Lola bought. I told day care
the new outfit was to celebrate her first day in Infants 2, but the real reason
was that I hadn't done her laundry yet.
We tried bathing Lily in the sink since she liked it with her Grandma.
Michelle must be doing it right, because Lily still had a good time.
Our girl sometimes sleeps with her hand over her face, just like Daddy does.
(Michelle thinks it's annoying when Daddy does it, but cute when Lily does it!)
It's easy to keep Lily entertained if we let her crawl around and play with
her toys. We bought a small rug to cover part of the hardwood floor so it'll
be easier on her knees. Now we can watch TV and eat dinner while she plays,
which is nice.
Later she crawled over to Daddy and started making funny faces!
