Week 36, Oct. 5-11
The big news this week is that Lily has a new cousin! Rebecca Marie Kaiser
was born on Monday, Oct. 10th at 11:23 p.m. (23:23 on 10/10). She weighed 8 lb. 13 oz.
and was 21.5" long.
Here's my sister Liz and baby Becca before and after! Wow, we were at
that stage with Lily just 36 weeks ago, but it seems like it was years ago.
Let's see, if time flies when you're having fun, then time crawls when ... uh-oh.
Well, we do have some fun. I rode Lily around the house on the firetruck Lola bought her,
and she had a blast! She was smiling and laughing a long time. It was refreshing to see
her so happy after being feverish on and off for the last couple weeks.
We bought her this car to play in months ago, but she's just now getting
enough hand control to play with all the knobs and switches.
Here are a couple of flashy girly outfits from this week. Several people have
looked at Lily and said, "Your son is so cute!" So we better dress her up in
some girl clothes once in a while! I think she might look boyish because her hair
is short and thick. We've never cut it, it's just short.
In my never-ending quest to keep Lily occupied when she's with me in the study,
I set up an old computer for her to play with and have it show a
random screensaver every minute. A gave her a very wireless keyboard to type
on -- it doesn't transmit a signal anywhere!
After a hard day at the office, it's nice to relax at home and read a magazine.
Looks like Lily already wants to move up to a laptop. Just help me talk Mommy
into it, sweetheart, and we can each get one!
