Week 40, Nov. 2-8
Lily turned the big 4-0 this week! And also nine months on Nov. 2nd.
One great development this week is that Lily is sleeping in her crib all
night. She used to cry and we'd take her out of the crib, but we
tried leaving her in it, and now she's been sleeping much better. So are we!

We bought a fireman hat for Lily to wear when she's riding around on her fire truck.
Her legs aren't quite long enough to push it herself yet, but she has a blast
whenever I push it for her.

Michelle played with her on the couch, and they were both having a lot of fun!

The two of them were also singing. So that's what her open mouth looks like
when she's not screaming!

Lily grabbed a Weird Al Yankovic CD she found. Good girl! (I like Weird Al.)
In the second and third photos she's showing off her "I'm just Lily in the Hood"
look, with a backward and sideways cap.

Michelle helped Lily practice standing. She stood for about 5 seconds
without leaning on anything, which is the longest she's done so far.

She's growing fond of destruction lately (like smashing her stacked rings in Week 37).
I'll pile up some of her blocks, and she knocks them down. Here she's taking the
blocks I put in the yellow tub and spilling them all over the floor. (Note that
she knocked over the green and blue stacked blocks in the process! How efficient!)

Here she is drinking water from a bottle, and spilling it all over herself and Mommy.

Here's a photo of cousin Becca, eyes more open now, sitting with Grandma Jean.

Carrie called us on the Beamer TV so we could see Becca and they could see Lily. This
was the first time Lily saw Becca.

Our day care center took Christmas photos of the babies. This was our favorite!

Here's an outfit that looks awfully baggy on her. I think we ended up changing her
out of it before taking her to day care.

The pediatrician said Lily can start eating soft solid foods, like bread and bananas.
This is the first piece of bread she ate (well, the middle part there). And no, it
wasn't on the floor until after she was done with it!!
