Week 41, Nov. 9-15
We've been trying to teach Lily baby sign language recently. The sign for "milk"
is opening and closing the fingers of one hand. She can make the sign, but in addition
to milk, we think she also uses it to say "come here". We're also working on the signs
for "food", "Mommy", and "Daddy".

We called Lola this week on the Beamer TV. It was cute because she
was making the "come here" sign to Grandma.

We put a baby gate up to keep her out of the kitchen. Here she is
trying to get past it or through it somehow!

My parents sent Lily a Happy Halloween card, which apparently is
also a toy! She played with it for a couple of days.

Some days she just plays happily on the floor and is relatively low-maintenance.
Other days, well ... we don't take many pictures on those days!

Lily's getting better at standing, especially when she's not thinking
about it. This toy has been good for encouraging her, because you have
to stand to use most of the fun parts.

We can finally see a few teeth now! (You'll have to zoom in.) The one on the bottom sticks out
the most, and it looks like her top front teeth are poking out now too. I think she's eager to
start using her tiny teeth, because she's getting very interested in our table food this week
(and doesn't want her mushy baby food).

Following in Michelle's footsteps, Lily is learning to sit back and
click the remote control.

This is another time I think Lily's slyly flipping me off. (The first time
was Week 26.)

Here are a couple outfits from this week. In the second one she's making
the "come here" sign to Mom who's taking the picture.

Cousin Becca is getting bigger, almost 11 pounds (5 weeks old). I think that's a smile
in the second photo.
