Week 42, Nov. 16-22

Lily caught pinkeye this week and spread it to Daddy. Neither of us were welcome at day care or work, so we stayed home. Mommy stayed home too (except for Monday) -- so far she hasn't caught it, but she has a cold.

Here's our poor sick girl. If you zoom in on the first picture, you can see one eye is bloodshot. We got eye drops from the pediatric emergency room, but found out it is extremely hard to squirt medicine in a baby's eyes against her will!! She had some good naps lying on Mommy.

On Sunday, Michelle and her coworkers had a party for Suzanne and Jonathan, who recently got engaged. Lily was invited, but we didn't want the other babies to get pinkeye.

Madeline, Cailey, and their brothers made it to the party, though, and here we have photos of them drinking, eating, and dancing. What party animals!

We bought Lily a ride-on train with a figure-8 track. This is her Christmas present, but we were impatient, so we let her have it now! (I won't rule out that some smaller present won't show up for her on Christmas.)

Here's a movie of her riding the train. She isn't smiling much, but she hasn't objected to riding it so far, and sometimes she dances to the music it plays. (If you can't view it by clicking on the picture, you can download it here.

We bought some "vegetable puffs" that Lily really likes. It's finger food. She has lost interest in Gerber baby foods since we gave her bread last week, and now she wants chunkier solids.

Here are some new outfits this week. I like the purple one with the jacket best.

Today Lily and I were wearing clothes that mostly matched! (Wasn't on purpose.)

Carrie sent me this photo of Becca. She wasn't very happy when this picture was taken! But you can see a white spot at the edge of her gums that might be a tooth coming in.
