Week 8, Mar. 23-29
Lily went to day care for the first time on Wednesday, March 23rd
(her 7-week birthday). I dropped her off at 8 a.m. Michelle couldn't
stand it and picked her up at 10:30 a.m.! We'll try to get Lily used
to day care gradually -- although it's really Mommy that can't take the
separation!

Here is the day care center, called Kids R Kids. Lily is in
the arms of Miss Melissa (second photo), and the third photo shows the
infant room Lily is in.

Kids R Kids labels her crib, plus a shelf for diapers and other belongings.
Lily also has her own labeled drawer and a section of the refrigerator
(for bottles). One of the nice features of this day care is that they
have a webcam that parents can log into and view what's happening all day.
Hey, that's Michelle picking Lily up before the end of the day!! She
thinks I won't know...

Michelle's mom had a baby shower for Lily in Virginia, and sent us all the presents.
Our daughter raked in a lot of loot! Thanks everyone! Grandma's friends Karen and Wanda
organized the party and also gave us presents.

Here's more of her baby shower loot...

... and still more!!

Note to Wanda: we forgot to photograph the blankets you sent
with her other gifts! Here they are near Lily on her changing table.

March 27th was Easter this year, so to celebrate, we dressed Lily up
in a dressy Easter outfit -- and then a more comical one!

Here's Lily with our big sheep dog, Alfie. Don't worry, he won't
hurt her -- he's stuffed! He never needs food, and he was
housebroken the day we bought him.

Nap time with Daddy.
